Rowland Kimber – Founder / Producer Rowland’s career in TV and film industry began by expanding a small camera hire company Filmscape Media, into a well respected and established industry leader. It was one of the first camera hire companies in the UK to import the game changing Red cameras, servicing the high demand required by commercial, music video and feature film productions. In 2008 he went onto start Ivory an independent production company based in London. Ivory’s first television programme was ‘Karosta: Life After the USSR’ directed by Peter King. This first foray into long form documentary went on to be broadcast by the History Channel, RTE Ireland and many other territories around the world. The shorten version of the won the Black Pearl Award for the Best Documentary Short at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival 2010. More recently Ivory has co-produced the UK episodes of an Argentinean series ’26 People to Save the World’ (TBS & CNN). This documentary features people from all over the world who contribute to making the world a better place, including author Martin Amis & Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales.

Peter King – Director Peter began his career within the world of short fiction, writing and directing several short films before expanding into the world of documentaries and commercials. His primary focus is narrative character based pieces, whether in comedy or drama. His shorts and commercial projects have screened in festivals in over forty countries including screenings in major festivals such as Short Shorts Tokyo, Cork and Raindance. His latest film, The City with a Dirty Face, was nominated for both the Anthony Minghella award in Hull and Best Short Film at the East End Film Festival. |
