That’s a wrap..the documentary part of The Craftsman is now complete. Wally was invited by the Royal School of Artillery to join them on field trip to Northern France.

We visited Gold Beach where Wally landed on D-Day, along with the American cemetery and Mons-en-Pévèle where Wally’s actions earned him his Military Medal.

The drama filming is now complete for the Craftsman episode! On the 17th of September we filmed the final scenes in the french Kent countryside. A special thank you goes to the Second Battle Group and all the British vehicles owners to kindly donated their time and rare vehicles to the filming.

Filming for Above & Beyond: The Craftsman continued last weekend at the Muckleborough Collection in Norfolk. With the help of our excellent production team & Sir Michael Savory we filmed a small part of the D-Day invasion at Gold Beach. Once again there were plenty of period vehicles including a Sexton, Sherman, K6 Ambulance and a Bren Carrier.

Phew…and relax. The 6 days of drama filming at Imber Village are now complete. Big thank you to everyone for all their hard work.

Ivory recently co-produced the UK episodes  of Jorge Lanata’s ’26 People to Save the World’ working closely with Ozono Producciones, an Argentinean base production company. The series will be broadcast on TBS and CNN networks.

The production interviewed many key British figures, including author Martin Amis, sociologist  Zygmunt Bauman and author Karen Armstrong.

Karosta, a film exploring an abandoned Latvian military base and its community, will be broadcast on the Iranian channel Press TV in the coming year.

The short version of Karosta, The City with a Dirty Face won the Black Pearl Award for the Best Documentary Short  at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival 2010. Director Peter King was invited to collect the award last week at the closing ceremony held in the Emirates Palace.

The award was given by Shirin Nashat, the President of the Shorts Competition Jury, and jurors Ali Mostafa and Suheir Hammad.

Deep in the Hampshire countryside Rowland Kimber and Richard Canavan managed to pull together a full production crew to film the WW2 test sequence.

With torrential rain in the afternoon the crew battled through and shoot some fantastic action scenes.
