About Us

Ivory was started by Rowland Kimber in the summer of 2008. He was previously a company director of Filmscape Media Ltd, a specialist camera hire company servicing documentary television and independent feature films.

With our understanding of emerging camera technology, we are able to select the best equipment for the job. This unique insight has pushed boundaries and enriched the audience experience. We pride ourselves on bringing high-end production values to every project regardless of budget.

Ivory’s first programme was ‘Karosta: Life After the USSR’ directed by Peter King. This first foray into long form documentary went on to be broadcast by the History Channel and RTE Ireland.

Working in the heart of vibrant and multicultural Brixton, our editorial team prides itself on seeing the potential in people and projects, even at the tender grass roots stage. We are also always open to working with other production companies in co-productions.
